Information about the Namola Plus benefit to all PPS policyholders.

Namola Offer for PPS clients
As a PPS member, you have access to a Namola Plus Individual Plan for you and your dependents.
The benefits of Namola Plus are:
- Private Armed Response
- Private Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
As a Namola Plus user within our Armed Response coverage area, Namola will dispatch Armed Response when needed or if contact cannot be established with you. Additionally, you can request Private EMS assistance, even if you're not covered by medical aid. The service also allows you to receive pre-arrival medical advice from our partner's on-call emergency staff. For more detailed information, please refer to the Namola Plus page.
How will I know if my Namola Plus subscription is active?
To confirm that your Namola Plus subscription has been activated, please do the following:
- Open the Namola app
- Tap on the Profile tab
- Select "Manage your Plan"
Your subscription will be listed under “Subscriptions Received” and be listed as “Namola Plus (app only) from PPS”
If I already have a Namola Plus subscription, should I cancel it?
If you already have a Namola Plus subscription, please cancel it by:
- Opening the app
- Tap on the Profile tab.
- Selecting "Manage Your Plan"
- Choosing "Cancel Subscription"
What happens if I don’t pay my PPS premium?
If your PPS policy becomes inactive due to non-payment or cancellation, your Namola Plus subscription will also be disconnected.
Who do I call if I have a technical query relating to Namola services or their app?
For technical inquiries related to Namola services or the app, support is available via the app and the Namola website. You can also contact them via email at hello@namola.com.
Who do I call if I have an emergency?
Emergency services can only be requested by pressing the SOS button in the Namola app.
Do I need to use the same number and email address I use for PPS when signing up for Namola?
Yes.
The Protect Me Benefit (Namola Plus) is linked to your email address and mobile number that you provided to PPS.
I didn’t receive my One Time Pin when signing into the app?
If you encounter issues with the One Time Pin, request a callback. Entering the code incorrectly five times will result in an account block; in such cases, please email hello@namola.com.
How do I request assistance on the Namola App?
- Open the Namola App
- Press and hold the SOS button
- Select your Emergency Type (This is not a prerequisite the response centre will still receive your alert and call you back.
Why does Namola ask me to fill in additional emergency information?
If you fill in this information, the operator will not have to ask you unnecessary questions. It assists in getting you, the fastest help possible.
Why does Namola require location permissions?
Namola only uses your location in emergencies. This means that we can locate you in an emergency so that you do not have to waste time telling us where you are. The rest of the time, we’re not locating or tracking you. Also, enabled location permissions allow your friends and family the ability to track your live location and request assistance on your behalf.
What other permissions does Namola require?
- Permission to send push notifications. This is to allow you to receive messages with updates from the Response Centre during an incident. Additionally, push notifications are used to alert you of emergencies from your emergency contacts.
- Permission to access your camera or photo gallery. This is to update your profile picture (so that responders can visually identify you when arriving on the scene). We never access photos or cameras except when you choose to take or pick a new profile picture.
- Permission to access your contacts. In order to select and invite your emergency contacts, we require access to your contacts. We will never use it for any other purpose than managing or inviting your selected emergency contacts.
