Using the Safety Overlay

Relative risk patterns directly in the Namola App.

What is the Safety Overlay?

The Safety Overlay is a layer on the Namola map that shows relative risk patterns across a supported area. It turns the Safety Score into something you can see at a glance, so you can take in your surroundings before you head out.

How to turn it on

Open the map in Namola and switch on the Safety Overlay. The map shades areas to show where relative risk is higher or lower, so you can plan a route, pick a parking spot, or decide when to leave.

Tap to understand an area

Tap a part of the map to see the safety breakdown behind it. Where we have the data, this shows some of the factors that shape an area's Safety Score.

The Safety Overlay shows relative risk to support your awareness. It is not a guarantee of safety, and it does not predict what will happen.

Overlay and Coverage Map

The Safety Overlay shows relative risk. The Coverage Map shows where Namola can send help. The Coverage Map is free to view. Essential unlocks public emergency response, and Plus adds faster private response in covered areas.
