DStv Namola Plus Subscribers: FAQ on switching your Payment Plan

To ensure your service continues without interruption, DStv customers will need to move their billing directly to Namola. The below content will answer any questions you may have about this transition.

The Core Change and Price

Why is my Namola Plus subscription changing, and why is the price increasing from R29?

This change is necessary due to two primary factors:

  1. DStv Billing Change: Your previous R29/month Namola Plus subscription was billed directly through MultiChoice (DStv). This arrangement, which included a significant promotional subsidy from DStv, is now being discontinued as DStv evolves its partnership strategy.
  2. End of Discount: As Namola is now directly managing billing, the previous R29 discount is no longer available. You are transitioning from a special promotional rate to the true, standard cost of maintaining immediate, private armed response and medical services.

What is the new price, and what is the exclusive offer you are providing?

The standard, non-subsidized price for the Namola Plus Individual Plan is R59 per month.

However, to reward your loyalty and ensure a smooth financial transition, we are offering you an exclusive 3-Month R29 Bridge Offer when you switch your payment method directly with Namola:

  • Months 1, 2, & 3 (March, April, & May 2026): Pay only the highly discounted rate starting R29 per month for an individual plan. 
  • Month 4 (June 2026) onwards: Your plan will revert to the standard rate, starting at R59 per month, for an individual plan.

When must I update my billing information?

Your Namola Plus service billed through DStv will officially end on February 28, 2026.

You must update your payment method and choose a new plan before this date to avoid disruption of your private security and medical response coverage and to claim your 3 months at R29.

Switching your Billing

How do I switch my payment and claim the 3 months at R29 offer?

The process is simple and takes less than 2 minutes:

  1. Open the Namola App, tap on the N+ tab - Use the link provided in the SMS, Email, or WhatsApp communications.
  2. Choose Your Plan: Select the Individual (R59), Couples (R99), or Family (R129) plan.
  3. Update Payment: Enter your new credit/debit card details (or select Google/Apple Pay).

The 3-Month R29 Bridge Offer will be automatically applied to your first three billing cycles, starting the 1st of March 2026.

Will I have to re-register my account?

No. Your existing Namola user account will remain active. You are simply updating the billing method attached to your current profile.

What if I miss the February 28th deadline?

If you miss the deadline, your Namola Plus service will be terminated, and you will revert to the limited, free service. The generous 3-Month R29 Bridge Offer will no longer be available, and you will have to subscribe via the Namola App, with no additional discount.
